Jack Herer

(4 customer reviews)

Jack Herer was created in the Netherlands in the mid-1990s, where it was later distributed by Dutch pharmacies as a recognized medical-grade strain. Since then, the spicy, pine-scented sativa has taken home numerous awards for its quality and potency. Many breeders have attempted to cultivate this staple strain themselves in sunny or Mediterranean climates, and indoor growers should wait 50 to 70 days for Jack Herer to flower.

Jack Herer is a sativa-dominant cannabis strain that has gained as much renown as its namesake, the marijuana activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross, Sensi Seeds created Jack Herer hoping to capture both the cerebral elevation associated with sativas and the heavy resin production of indicas. Its rich genetic background gives rise to several different variations of Jack Herer, each phenotype bearing its own unique features and effects. However, consumers typically describe this 55% sativa hybrid as blissful, clear-headed, and creative.

This strain is a great psychoactive for depression or for when your mind is feeling “off” or slow. JH is a great daytime strain and a highly effective social one at that. If you take this by yourself, I recommend no outside stimulations like TV or Facebook. JH shines a warm, loving light in the darkest areas of the mind, and is great for smoking alone

  2. Crabtree

Probably the best strain I have ever tried. The high lasts very long. OCD sufferers are in for a treat. Depressed people are in for a treat. Anxiety sufferers are in for a treat. This is a psychedelic strain.

  3. Graff

Not big into sativas but this one I make an exception. This ones a knock out. I wouldn’t doubt this one goes down in the history books like diesels. This is how all sativas should be

Jack Herrer is my favorite strain hands down. Requires strict dose control to get the effect I want. One small pipe hit….then maybe a second in 20 minutes or so. Too much and I get jumpy and find it hard to stay on a single track. That can be fun too…but its not what the tool does best. Solutions to problems I am not trying to solve can be cool to think of…but I like to keep moving down a path. Jack is a good tool for that. I am a creative person (electrical engineer type and product designer) and this stuff is like a window into my creative and energetic reserves. Generates lots of enthusiasm for the task at hand and supports the ability to focus on the tiny details that make a product special.
